Amazon Feeds Manager
Amazon Feeds Manager allows users to send feeds to amazon manually or to fetch the responses from amazon in order to determine any changes which need to be made on products. To get to the Manager you would navigate to TOOLS > AMAZON FEEDS MANAGER
There are 3 major components to the amazon feeds manager, which consist of the ability to fire feeds to amazon, fetch amazon responses and the display of recently exchanged files.
The fire product feed to amazon button allows users to send a feed to amazon outside of the normal feeds schedule. This is useful when a taking down a product you no longer wish to sell on amazon or if you would like to add a new product to amazon.
Fetch amazon feeds does not run on a timed script (you may hear OBN refer to these as Crons). So, you will need to run this manually to check on product from amazon from time to time. This will give examples of products which were uploaded.
The display of files is where the meat of the module comes into play. As many of the products coming from the distributor may already be listed there is not generally a large amount of control from your site as amazon and the manufacturer control the information displayed on amazon.
Once the files have been moved over you can simply click on the paper icon which denotes the confirmation has been received.
Depending on the type of file, this will result in information about the products, images, inventory or order. In this example we will take a look at the order, which was successful.
Types of files are:
_POST_ORDER_ACKNOWLEDGEMENT_DATA_ - Order information
_POST_PRODUCT_DATA_ - Product information
_POST_PRODUCT_RELATIONSHIP_DATA_ - Parent/Child relationship information
_POST_PRODUCT_PRICING_DATA_ - Pricing information
_POST_INVENTORY_AVAILABILITY_DATA_ - Inventory information
_POST_PRODUCT_IMAGE_DATA_ - Image information
If there is an issue with one of the products, there will be either an error or warning. Warnings will not prevent an item from listing, the only serve to display what improvements can be made to the product information sent over to amazon. Errors are issues in the product listing which need to be addressed prior to the listing being appearing on amazon. These can range from invalid characters to UPC codes. You should find information within the files coming from amazon.
